A visiting scholar and Postdoctoral Fellows positions/Translational Cancer Research

Dr. Chengyu Liang’s laboratory at the Department of Molecular Microbiology and Immunology (MMI) at the Keck School of Medicine of USC, located in the Health Science Campus, is seeking highly motivated postdoctoral scholars to investigate the molecular mechanisms of the DNA repair pathway in skin melanoma prevention/immunotherapy, and fellows to investigate the impact of the lysosomal pathway in kidney cancer development.

Research in Liang Lab is centered>　　Recent PhD graduates from related fields and with record of publications can apply. A strong laboratory experience with penetrating knowledge of molecular/cellular biology and biochemistry techniques, proficiency in mice experiments, and demonstrated ability to work independently with self-initiative, pro-active thinking are required.

Previous experience with ‘omics’ approaches and bioinformatics would be helpful. The candidate should have highest scientific integrity and strong commitment to research excellence and achieving assigned objectives.

美國加州大學洛杉磯分校（University of Califor年, Los Angeles，縮寫 UCLA）位於美國西海岸加利福尼亞州的洛杉磯市好萊塢附近，成立於1919年（但可以追溯至1881年），是一所著名的公立研究型大學，為公立常春藤之一，也是加州大學十校中聲譽和實力僅次於加州大學伯克利分校的學校。

加州大學洛杉磯分校每年吸引著5萬以上的申請者，歷年來為美國申請人數最多的幾所學校之一。

加州大學洛杉磯分校前身為一所位於洛杉磯市區的師范學校，成立於1881年3月，系應當時洛杉磯市民的強烈要求而建立，專為加州南部地區培養合格教師。1914年遷至好萊塢附近。1917年該師范學院的校長建議將這其改造成加州大學的第二座校園，這個想法得以在1919年3月23日實現——加利福尼亞州立法機關通過了將這所師范學校改為“加利福尼亞大學南部分校”的法令，並添加了培養一般本科課程的文理學院。1927年改名為“加州大學洛杉磯分校（University of Califor年, Los Angeles）”，尤以縮寫UCLA著稱。1933年獲得碩士學位授予權，1936年獲得博士學位授予權。
